The 317 in 3:17 Reasons stands for Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Our goal is to combine literature, reason, and faith for a redemptive, sound, and uplifting look at everything that we read or even watch on a day to day basis. Colossians 3:17 can apply to the slogans you read on social media or in popular books, the TV show you watched last night, or perhaps even a video game you may be planning to purchase. 3:17 Reasons believes that themes concerning God and His presence can be found anywhere and everywhere; but we're specifically seeking to live this out in the most effective way possible for us. This way is through literature.

3:17 Reasons is a creative ministry, aimed at reaching people in relatable, culturally-relevant ways. We understand that sometimes it seems daunting to ask the hard questions. We want to discuss the vital question of "God?" in contexts that are present in the fibers of day-to-day life. The jewelry tossed into Mount Doom, the atrocities of an atheist villain, and the hypocrisy of Hollywood movie Christians; we want to see where God lands in the midst of all of this. Religion is seen as taboo, and depending on where you live or which religion you're discussing, it may also be seen as archaic or unnecessary. Rather than running from religion, 3:17 Reasons wants to explore and break down the misconceptions in culture that concern belief in God, Christianity, apologetics, and the like.
